Restaurant Manager Direct, coordinate, and oversee restaurant operations and business activities pertaining to the preparation, pricing, sale, and marketing of the restaurant’s foods and services. Develop and implement restaurant policies, procedures, and sales objectives in coordination with owners and upper-level management. Delegate and supervise the activities of other employees and ensure that all dishes are prepared and served properly and efficiently. Guide and supervise the marination process for Hyderabadi biryani and authentic kerala appams. Inspect and ensure restaurant cleanliness and compliance with food safety and environmental codes and regulations. Negotiate and maintain contracts with vendors to obtain products and services required for restaurant operation, monitor inventory, and place orders for goods as needed. Monitor customer service feedback, respond to customer queries and complaints, and resolve any grievances or disputes. Review sales and financial reports to assess profitability and achievement of sales goals and evaluate expenditures to identify areas for cost reduction and increased efficiency. Assess marketing potential and assist owners in the development of marketing strategies to promote the restaurant including advertising campaigns, events, sales promotions, and discount schemes. Develop an online media presence via social networking websites such as Facebook and Twitter. Recruit, interview, hire, and train new employees, create staff work schedules, and conduct performance evaluations.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or Hospitality Management and one year of experience in the job offered or a related management or sales position in the food service industry. The position requires skills and knowledge in Word, Excel, and social media marketing and the ability to procure the ingredients and influence the chefs to create an authentic South Indian taste. It involves limited domestic travel, mostly within Los Angeles County.
